New Fashion Stores & Fashion Sales on Art Walk Tonight!

A number of new stores will have their soft, preview openings tonight including Katie Kay’s GATHER at 630 S. Main, the flagship store & showroom for MartinMartin at 713 S. Los Angeles, the Bliss Boutique at 204 1/2 W. 6th Street, Local Tourist at 450 S. Main, the 1-Man’s Trash Shoe Store 616 S. Main,the Well Suite Boutique 114 W. 7th and several others that will be announced next week. Most of the pop-up stores scheduled to appear at 610 S. Main Street are also looking for permanent store locations.

Among the special events will be a 50% off sale by SkinGraft at 125 W. 4th Street on selected items, sample sales at Fremont of the Fremont and BScott brands plus at Elmer Ave at 7th and Main and then other sales at Blends at 125 W. 4th, the Cooper Store at 721 S. Los Angeles, and at both 1-Man’s Trash & the Sk8 Cafe at 7th and Main.

Preview Friday’s Downtown Fashion’s Night Out Shows on Tonight’s Thursday Art Walk!

Below is a list of all retail stores  open tonight, Thursday Sept. 9th,  for Art Walk and Friday night for Fashion’s Night out in Downtown from 6 – 10 PM.  Also open both nights will be the Pacific Electric Building Space with over 20 designers and pop-up boutiques at 610 S. Main at 6th and Main – PLUS Cynthia Crowley’s fashion store in a truck that will be parked in front of 620 S. Main Street.  The downloadable map to these events is to your right.

RETAIL STORES

Where Historic Downtown and the Fashion District meet along Spring, Main and Los Angeles Streets has recently become a major fashion retail district.  The Gallery Row and Old Bank Districts in particular have had numerous designer-owned stores and new boutiques join the area’s many art galleries, independent book shops, furniture stores, bars, theaters and restaurants to create what is increasingly now a night time as well as a day time shopping and entertainment district.

ASHION NIGHT OUT

Bohemian Society to hold Fashion Show on Tonight’s Art Walk

The Bohemian Society will take part in the increasingly popular Downtown Art Walk at the Los Angeles Theatre Center (LATC) on Thursday, September 9th, 2010.  LATC, located at 514 S. Spring St. and is housed in an historical bank building from the early 20^th Century. The installation will be held in the former vault downstairs!

It is described as a meditative fashion projection by Philip Hodges and Victor Wilde. Take a trip into the realm of Bohemian Society 2010 but be careful not to get swept away…

The event will run from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  It is open to the public, free, and reservations are not required.

23 Historic Downtown Fashion Stores Open this Thursday and Friday Nights in Historic Downtown and the Fashion District

At the top of the column to your right is a link to the map of 23 fashion stores that will be open on this Thursday’s Sept. 9th Downtown Art Walk from 6 PM to approximately 10 PM.  All these stores will also be open this Friday for the first annual ‘Fashion Night Out’ in Los Angeles from 6 PM until approximately 10 PM except for Flea, which will need to close early.
